Part 3 The Sewing room

As promised after our workspace and office, here is the sewing room.

It took a lot of time to finish this one, mainly do to the fact that there is no airco in this room, so with the horrid-torrid summer temperatures, not much sewing is getting done just now.

We had a lot of embroidery hoops lying around, perfect for some instant decorations using lovely upholstery fabrics. The turkish textile industry is blooming, and many wonderful fabrics can be found.

We may put some of these fabrics in the supplies shop some time.

The cushion on the chair is a lovely folded patchwork that I bought right of a road restaurant during a trip. The table is an old escritoire from Holland. It had lost some drawer pulls over the years, so we made new ones with porcelain beads and other jewelry findings.

This is an other lovely old folding table, from the house in Kütahya. I love the leg construction.

Wondering what is behind the courtains? Do you really want to know?

Well, you asked for it. Gosh, we really need to destash... How many sewing years would a person need to finish this up?

Every thing seems so neat, doesn't it. Of course, you know better now...

Arrrggg....

Here are the ribbons and trims, and more fabric behind the doors, oh my...

  13. Oh. My. Goodnes. Wow!!!!!!!! What a fabric and trim paradise! Can I come over and play? I mean, well, that is amazing! I am especially curious to see more of the ribbons and trim. I am gaga about ribbons and trim and obviously you are too. You are the kind of person I really like, when I see all of your stuff I don't really get envious, or not too much, I just think, what I have isn't so much (and I can/should buy more!!!!)

    Thanks for sharing!l
