I love how with some work and patience a bunch of old fabrics can be turned in to something beautiful. This is a bag in the making all kind of old pieces of tweed were used which my mother patched together with the sewing machine as it had holes of age and history.
After that I hand stitched and patched pieces by hand for some nice rustic details and for strength. Then I made the bird which is also entirely hand stitched with old pieces of fabric to become a cute Robin.
The patches and stitches gave the fabric a beautiful structure and it eventually became more interesting than when it was new and perfect.
With some more extra work we are now making it in to a bag, perfect for nature and history lovers. Will be available in the bag shop soon!
