Our Creative Space...

Yes, another mess this week, it seems that we are very good at making a mess...
This week some supplies arrived which gives an additional mess.


Just to show you that we are also organized I wanted to show you our supply cabinets, drawers and drawers full of supplies, organized supplies.



All are organized and arranged in colors and materials, one cabinet is full of beads, gemstones, pearls and more, arranged by color.

The other one is full with metal finds, 2 drawers with gold plated finds, 2 with silver and silver plated finds, 1 drawer with vintage finds, 2 with brass and copper finds, yes we are not a complete mess :)

Surprise Package

It is always fun to recieve packages, but when it is a surprise package the fun is even bigger.
Petronella aka Kraplap sent us a package with a delicious home grown courgette and an adorable vintage doll. Mum loved the doll, thank you!!


The courgette is no longer in such shape, but turned into a delicious soup, with little meatballs. Petronella's husband made a wonderful recipe which we partly followed and we improvised other parts.

Thank you again for the wonderful surprise!!

Our Creative Space...

It's funny how it goes, without noticing you are working on 10 different project at the same time. Nice thing about that is that when you get bored of one you can jump over to another project and of course the fact that they all finish around the same time, which gives a good feeling too.



At the moment it is a gothic necklace (left), a sea treasure necklace (bottle with little shells in it), a sea urchin brooch, our entry for this week's challenge of the EuropeanStreetTeam with the theme Mythology, a pendant which needs tender loving care and an antique Chainmaille bag that we have revamped and repaired and will be listed in the bag shop today. All these projects will probebly, hopefully finish today so tomorrow a new scene can be seen on the table...

It was really hard for me to pick only four antique camera's so I've made two mosaics and if you are interested see here many many more.

I'm pretty sure that we all remember the days (not so long ago) that we where very careful with what we shot as film wasn't cheap. Every shot had to be special and therefor we have alot of things only archieved in our brains and not on photography paper. The digital camera has made us so free that we can take a 100 shots of one thing, wonderful!

And a camera update, I ordered a Sony H20! It should arrive today. Funny thing is the old one has started to work again, thanks to a trick Kristin aka Evihan gave me. As the camera had become wet I had to put it in a bowl of rice, it really worked!! So now soon I'll have two camera's!

Our Creative Space...

I was planning to show you our project we have in our hands, a very nice bag. So I grabbed our camera and went in to our sewing room to take the shots... no reaction of the camera. Have tried about an hour, nothing happened. Also my cellphone has been blocked for a very anoying reason, just not my day with electronics, I suppose.
So today's creative space will be visiting camera shops...

I have been thinking for quite a while to take photographs of sea urchins. To sell them as postcards at the Giftshop. But not sure of my photograph skills, and quite simple camera and if there will be any interest in them. Maybe a project for the future. Our Creative Space...

Most of our jewelry are one of a kind, but with some sea urchin models we make more. According to how they sell we keep a little stock so that we can send packages off right away so that our customers don't have to wait longer than needed. This week our creative space is making new stock of some models. It looks pretty funny all those little urchins in a row.

Magical Facts

Beside the weekly challenge the EuropeanStreetTeam has now started another fun game, the idea came from IngerMaaike. Inger listed a sales fairy in her shop (for material and shipping costs only), the person who bought it made one and listed it too and so on and on. I caught mine yesterday evening, made by ArtMind, isn't she mighty cute??
And of course to keep the magic going I made a fairy right away and she flew out of the shop in a second, she will be flying off to Holland on monday...
