Our Creative Space...
There is not much that can stop us from creating, not even Christmas :)
We had some nice quiet days with embroidery projects, this is one of them, another candle wicking pillow.
We both did pieces, so we took turns and it was finished pretty fast that way. At the same time we finished two bags as we both each made a bag while the other took her turn :)
It has quilted details so a beautiful 3d effect.

Loddelina
A while ago I won a suprise gift at Loddelina's blog with a guessing game. One day before Fleurtje passed away it arrived. An adorable brooch with a tiny doggie embroidered on it, she looks like Fleurtje.
Damjana aka Loddelina really knows how to use a sewing machine, the embroidery is as fine and detailed as a pencil drawing, really beautiful!
Thanks so much for the lovely gift, it means even more to us now!
If you want your own house brooch or a fabulous handmade bag, visit Loddelina's shop!

Our Creative Space...
We have been busy the past few weeks. Christmas orders and a sudden change of date for a wedding kept us active.
The wedding pieces are made with the eye of shiva shells that the bride and groom found on the beach the day he proposed to her, how romantic :) 6 necklaces, earrings, flowers stems with shells for the bouquet, 5 boutonnieres and cufflinks, it was a challenging and fun order and we hope the pieces will bring alot of joy at their special day.

Our Creative Space...
Although we sell good, we can create much more items than we can sell. So I am always looking for time consuming things to make, to still the creative fever. Smocking and faux chenille are examples of this. The newest endevour is orinuno, or origami with fabrics. The instructions in a japanese craft book were as clear as mud, so it took some time to figure it out, and yes, it is as time consuming as you could wish for :)
It is made with 100 % reclaimed fabrics, what I find extremely rewarding, and the results are super cool. Now 3 is in the make right now and it goes quicker the more you do of course, so it is time to move on to even more complicated ones!
The first one is already available in our bag shop.

Introducing: Zeyno
Our big girl, Zeyno, has been with us since 4 august 2004. A friend of us found her trembling in the street as a wee puppy. We had no idea than that she would grow to the dimensions of a calf.
But her heart is big as well. As the turkish people say, she has a heart of bread, innocent, loving and good natured. She is the kind of dog that you could trust to babysit an infant. The smaller dogs adore her. You can take food out her mouth without her giving a crimp.
Alas she is getting very fat and she would need more exercise and diet food, both things that we cannot procure, so we are looking for a new home for her, before she gets problems with her joints due to her weight.
Is there anybody out there who could put her into a strict diet and make long walks with her and love her for ever?

A Walk in the Woods
A few days ago I went to the forest with a friend to reload some energy and to collect mushrooms, the so called Çıntar. The Çıntars are only for a few weeks 'available' in some of the forests.
It is a huge passion of many to collect as many as possible to stock up for winter and of course food free of charge beside the extreme exercise ofcourse.
Non of these are eatable, but just beautiful.
I guess this one will tickle terrarium lovers, some beautiful moss.
I have always loved the amazing details of wild mushrooms, although this one is not eatable either!
The weirdest thing I came across was this...
The forests are full of wild boars (swines). And of course as every living creatures it has it needs.
I was amazed how some kind of plants was growing out of their poops :)
This little guy was in the middle of the forest having a little rest.
The Çıntars are hidden in painful bushes under leaves. It is like searching for Eastern eggs but a bit painfull due to the thorns and branches.
Aaaah bummer, this one is a fake and not eatable....
But this bucket full is our harvest, and we have enjoyed them!

Our Creative Space...
I'm afraid that you are a bit tired of seeing my infamous table cloth, but good news this is the very last post about it!
After cutting and sewing it round we needled the doilies on the bordor untill it fitted perfectly.
Mum sewed all the doilies to the cloth, so she finished my loooong project. I'm so glad that it is done after so many years.
Another project that we finished is the Candlewicking pillow.
This project was started by mum but I finished it. It is funny how we often finish each others projects when we get stuck, it sure works good as eventually we finish everything!
