A little local Adventure

Sometimes you forget to visit the beauties that are close by. 

Yesterday a friend and I went to this beautiful waterfall. 

The hike was stunning, and my friend kept on cursing herself for not coming here before, she has lived her entire life close by 😂

It was the perfect day to feed the soul ❤️ and a great reminder that you don't need to travel far to see beauty, as long as you keep seeking it.

The end of a great day ends with a great sunset drive back home.

My Creative Space...

Made a fun Russian doll lamp the other day.

 

The starting point was a big doll and a fun lampshade which wasn't the right color.

So I painted it to match with the green of the doll.

I then drilled the doll.

Then I put a rod through every piece, attached a beautiful brass foot and wired the piece.

I gave the lampshade a floral trim to match with the doll.

And Voila! A super fun one-of-a-kind lamp.

The Netherlands Trip: Amsterdam

While I was born and raised in Amsterdam, I hadn't been there for almost 15 years, so I visited my old house, street and neighborhood but also walked and cycled the city like a tourist.

This was the house I was born and raised in, it was quite emotional to see it again.

During the sunny days the city felt fantastic and I almost started to wonder why we moved, until it started to rain a lot :)

I saw so many old places I used to pass all the time, streets schoolfriends used to live, my old school etc etc.
