January and February are the stormy months here, so we go to the beach to collect the urchins that have been stranded after the storms. We never ever take living urchins out of the water.
You can see at the color of the water that it is winter. In summer it is turqoise.
We have a different 'adress' for all the things that we collect: urchins, driftwood, limpets and other shells have all their very specific little bay.
I love that the way in which the forest meets the sea.
You cannot see how deep the ruts are, so it is with great trepidation that we drive in. If the car gets stuck we are on our own here.
Finally, here is the sea. We've made it.
OMG these pictures are amazing!!!! That light (I can so well recognize the light of the Aegean on a stormy day)... the forest meeting the sea... those secluded, magical little bays... I'm in love!
