Make-over

Although this looks like a home make-over it is actually a shop make-over.
Yesterday I painted a wall grey to re-shoot pictures. I've never been a fan of all white pictures which are so popular in commercial websites, and they never really looked good as I didn't get the hang of it making the items look washed out and completely lost in all the white.

I took an old beautiful wooden table from the attic and the outdoors photo studio is complete with natural light but a homey feeling.

Here are the first results!

I'll be busy the next couple of days with re-shooting items, editing and replacing them with the old ones, but I'm liking the results so far :)
Let me know what you think, love to hear your opinion!

  1. You already know my aversion to white backgrounds. So I LOVE it! all the new pics are so much more vibrant, your bags really pop!

  3. I like the new background better indeed. It works better because you have "too much" natural sunlight. I don't think it would work much in a grey sky country though as the image would be completely flat ;)

  4. Yes, I put my vote on the new background as well. The bags just pop out better and the colors are vibrant.

  10. Makes the colours pop more. I've switched to a dark background too and it just suits my work better. Be your own trend.
