USA Trip: Daytona Beach and Surroundings

I've mentioned in my Christmas post that we were going to stay in Daytona Beach for 10 days, those days have already passed and we are now elsewhere but I have some nice memories and photos from there.

We went to a few beaches in those days.

And visited a few beautiful looking churches.

We had some rainy days and sunny days, we planned our days according to the weather and the Holidays and entertained ourselves all the time.

This was our third time in Daytona Beach but the previous times we always only stayed for one night to go toward New Orleans, so we never had visited most of these places.

We are now near St George Island going towards Santa Rosa Beach. Our vacation is slowly coming to an end, but we still have some time to enjoy :)

Happy Holidays!

To all who celebrate; Merry Christmas!

We are in Daytona beach for a 10 day house sit while enjoying the surroundings, the Christmas decorations, the beaches and the thrift stores :)

Near where we stay is the Twi-light motel where they have extravagant decorations every year, check my video on Instagram to see it even better.

It was quite magical, and as we live in Türkiye we do miss this time as only New Years is celebrated there and by far there is not so many decorations going on for that.

A guy was making these light balls, with closer inspections we saw they are made with plastic glasses and Christmas lights, I might make one for us for home.

Happy Holidays!

USA Trip: Green Cay Wetlands

We have been staying in Delray Beach these past 4 nights, for a house/pet sit through Trusted Housesitters. We always try to do a few sits to safe some money, as hotels for 5 weeks get very expensive. It is also a great way to meet people and sweet pets.

We have been mainly thrifting, weather has been warm but rainy not ideal for the beach.

But yesterday we went to Green Cay Wetlands. It was drizzling so not many people and apparently also not many animals but we saw plenty and it was very peaceful.

It is a boardwalk so you walk over water and forests without disrupting anything.

The sounds of the birds was also very peaceful and sometimes funny.

It was a pleasant two hour walk, we were lucky as it started to pour as soon as we got in the car.

It is open from sunrise to sunset and is free.

Two Iguanas were having some spousal issues it seemed :))

If you ever have the chance to visit, I highly recommend it, it was magical.
