Datça

Today we went to Datça, a little town only 65 km away from us, but because of the mountain roads it takes a little over an hour to get there. There is a Greek Island very nearby, I even got a text to my phone saying 'Welcome to Greece'. The reason for our trip was to meet a fellow Etsy seller CandanImrak.

Candan makes lampwork beads and sells both beads and jewelry. The world of glass is truely colorful, and we enjoyed it alot with home made apply pie and chats about Etsy, and the world of handmade.

She has a very airy living space and in one light corner is her work bench, where she plays with glass and fire to make little treasures.

I love it when people are passionate about what they do and Candan explained her work and the world of glass full with passion.

After showing a bit what to do and explaining I had a try and made some pins with glass ball heads, they are far from perfect but it was super fun to learn something new.

We have met Etsy sellers in the past, and it was always great to meet like minded people with a passion for handmade, an outsider just doesn't understand why we are so passionate about the work we do :)
