Being Back Home

The first week after a vacation is always an adaption time, especially if you are also recovering from jetlag.

We just finished emptying all 15 suitcases but our entire house has become an utter mess!

 

Had a lot of cuddle time with the dogs.

Shipped out the orders we got when we were away.

Figured a way and found a firm to ship to the US by prepaying tariffs.

Contacted all customers to pay those said tariffs.

Made a million different shipping profiles for all the shops so that from now on US customers have paid tariffs right away during checkout.

Cuddled some more dogs.

Went diving but was too jetlagged so it ended up a day on the sea with friends, which was perfect.

Photographed and listed some pieces we scored on our trip and also a scarf that my mum knitted on our vacation.

And finally cuddled some more dogs 😂

Week 2 will be easier, l think...

USA Trip: Pennsylvania

We are back home. We drove through Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and D.C. we came with 15 suitcases full of treasures and Incase you wonder what kind of car you need to haul such an amount of items, you can see me in the Wagoneer l was driving these past 4 weeks. 

My own car needed the help of an additional taxi to get everything from the airport back home 😂😂 

We were a bit anxious about the political situation where we were going however everything was fine, for us. 

The government shutdown actually happened right after we left and I'm sure more crazy stuff is going to happen these coming months. 

We did enjoy our stay and hope to go back but hopefully when things are better. 

l loved driving through Pennsylvania and we saw lots of Amish people, l looked it up and there are almost half a million of them, l had no idea there were so many! l sometimes envy their simple way of life, especially in these crazy times!

l still have lots of treasure to photograph and list and am very inspired to create new things!

USA Trip: Cleveland

We were in Cleveland, Ohio for a few days. A very widely spread place where everything is at least half an hour drive.

We had fantastic weather and visited this beautiful Lake View Cemetery which was more like a park than a cemetery.

We also had a few glances at Lake Erie, l wanted to dive, but, unfortunately, the season ends September 1st.
