Our Creative Space...

In 1999 I attended a machine embroidery course. This is not the high tech way where you put some fabric and the machine does the work. You hold the fabric and with your hand movements it becomes something pretty, if you are doing it alright. Anyway, I finished some pieces during that course, which took all winter and close by the end I started a huge table cloth. Needless to say, I never was able to finish it during the course, but I also never laid my hands on it in the past 11 years.

Now that we are trying to finish our UFO's, this one has almost become vintage while waiting so now is the time to finally finish it. I've started yesterday, and hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll be able to show you the finished piece. Keep your fingers crossed for me, please :)

Our Creative Space...

Today it caught my attention that we have always weird tools and materials hanging around in our workspace. A glue gun, clothes-pins, sand, a sieve and a funnel are just a few examples.

Also some toothbrushes to clean delicate surfaces.

Button Wednesday

This came today in the mail! It is the result of a trade with the  lovely Etsy seller, EyeSigh, and if you love buttons and sewing notions like I do, you will agree that it can get any cuter than this!

This little sewing bag has a whole dutch peasant family pictured with paint and thread and all the little faces are made with painted  buttons!

And it came full to the brim with embroidery floss! It is something to cherish for ever, thank you Regina! Please check her vintage shop EyeSigh, Regina also has a photography shop, blueskyclouds.

I've never been in the States, but I'm sure that if I ever go I will spend more time in garage sales and auction houses than visiting the touristic highlights, oh bliss...

Those who have known me for a while will know that I love rain. The main reason is that we live in a place where summers start in april and end in october sometimes even november,  long long hot summer makes yo miss rain!

Our Creative Space...

This week I'm a bit better but mum is in bed with fever, guess we share our Flu's too...
I've been playing around with new material combinations, and am pretty pleased how these turned out, or better said, will turn out as they are not finished.


Before mum was caught with the Flu she started some urchin flowers wich I will finish, I really like the combination of fabric with the sea urchins.

Monday Moodboard- Searching for Good Karma

I know a fairygirl, her name is Frances. She lives with Snow white, Pinocchio, the Frog Prince, Thumbelina and many more...

She captures her friends with her camera and shares it with the world...

She has been having a dream for 10 years, and now it came to her. But as money is not the main importance in Fairyland she has a problem. She needs money to go from New Zealand to Italy where her dream will come true. Another problem is that time is limited and that in a few days the door to her dream will close and won't open again.

There for she is having a BOGO sale, when you purchase a photograph you will recieve one of the same value for free.
