I have been wanting to try it for a while, and a few weeks ago I noticed I was not motivated to paint, so I thought it was the right time to try something different.
I started with this fantasy portrait, finished it in a few hours and loved it!
Love the structures it gives, although much more paint is used then normal.
Then I wanted to make a ship on sea, I never have been able to make the sea right, but with this technique and with only imagination it turned out pretty well.
I made the back side of the boat unclear to give it speed.
I started to make it with normal colors but it turned out like a drawing of an 8 year old, then I added alot of purple and other unusual colors untill I was satisfied.
I never made a nude either, not that I'm against naked women (or men) just that it easy becomes too much meat for my taste. But again with the knife technique and different colors I liked the result.
This piece took me longer and was more challenging, again without anything to look up to, all imagination. The trees finished the piece and gave it perspective.
In 2 weeks my drawing classes will come to an end, untill autumn. There will be an exibition at the end of May, I still need to finish my mum's portrait as that one will be exibited too there, oops...
And Mitsy of ArtMind started some fun, by posting a mosaic of your favorites of Flickr, on your blog and Flickr page. Here is my mosaic, if you would like to see more mosaics or join the fun, check Mitsy's blog!

oh I love your paintings Estella. The nude is my favourite. I like the almost 3d effect of the knife painting. What kind of paint do you use, is it oil or acrylic ?
