Introducing: Lucky

This sweet sleeping lamb is Lucky. He has been with us since 14 may 2003
By that time everybody in our circle of aquintances knew that we are softies when it comes to dogs and several people tried and suceed to 'unload' a dog with us.

Lucky, (he had already that name) had belonged to a russian woman here that went back to her country, leaving the dog behind. A neighbour took pity and asked us to take him.
He was in a sorry state, with infected ears and anus and wounds from encounters with other dogs. He is very, very sweet, but would be better in a house with not as many dogs, because he is, yes, rather the underdog.

He loves to be held and hugged and sit on your lap and get attention without so much competition.

  5. ohhhhh such an unlucky Lukcy.. and such a sweetie. My hubby is next to me and tells me I am not allowed to take Lucky (which was the first thing I said when I read this). He thinks it's not good for Peggy, she has always be alone.... Bah such a rationable and wise man :)

  8. Ooooh what a sweet boy!!!! Lucky was lucky indeed to find you, and if you really think he'd be happier in a less crowded doggie family, I wish him he'll be lucky once again and find a second loving family! But in any case, even if he's the "underdog" I'm sure for the moment he feels very loved by you!!!

  10. Lucky is lucky to be with you....I wish I could take him but with 3 crazy cats (and me working 4 days)...he would not be lucky/Lucky anymore...

  12. You guys are the best! I do not understand how people can leave their pet behind. For me a pet becomes part of the family.
I am sure she could have taken him back to Russia with her. But if she is someone who could leave a pet behind like that then it is better she does not have him. I hope you find him a good home soon!
